The launching ceremony of super sled test bench was held by Jinzhou Jinheng Automotive Safety System Co., Ltd. On December 16, 2016. Over 60 experts from auto research institutes, testing institutions, automobile manufacturing enterprises and journalists home and abroad attended this ceremony.
With the rapid development of auto industry, traffic accident has been listed in the TOP 3 causes of death besides plague and natural disasters. The safety study of vehicle crash is therefore receiving continuous social concern and becoming an important subject.
The concept of “Super Sled” was come up with by Mr. Liu Chongqing (CTO of Jinheng) and the sled test is designed to provide statistic analysis on traffic accident and casualty by implementing impact tests on new vehicles. It took Jinheng 4 years to co-develop and build the sled laboratory with Seattle Security Company. Unlike traditional sled which can only realize horizontal movement along collision direction, the super sled can precisely simulate multiple side impacts according to standards of China, America, Europe and frontal impacts as well, offering more accurate assessment on protection effect to drivers.
With a loud crash, the super sled test bench completed its debut--the first domestic simulating pitch frontal impact test on 14:30 December 16. The simulating side impact test was carried out the next day, indicating the first success and breakthrough worldwide .
Current research test on side passive safety system mainly depends on vehicle test causing one vehicle scrapped each time. With the significant reduction on test cost, the application of super sled laboratory marks that Jinheng has reached international leading testing level.
